BLT

This is a pendant that I’ve had for years. I’ve never had any ideas of how to showcase it. I decided to go with this western style like the others...
Components: The pendant is turquoise and bronzite with a copper bail. On the sides are Kingman boulder potato shape nuggets. I used the colored magnesite discs, an antique copper bead and the 10 mm bronzite. A dark brown suede strap. Oh, I almost forgot BLT stands for bronzite, leather and turquoise!

Moonflower blooming at night

Moonflower completed.Making a bezel with seed beads was a big challenge for me.. Beady's work on her Alice cabochon was my inspiration....
Components: Necklace is all LB-seafoam line luster agate, czech glass flowers, african opal nuggets, Green Aventurine triangles, howlite triangles, freshwater pearls, seed beads, and flower bead cap for the top of the cabochon. I wanted to do the curly hair but couldn't get it to work right.

Components: I used 18 gauge half dead copper ( should have used dead soft) it was hard to work with- and 22g phos bronze and carnelian (LB). On the oval girl I used 18g square wire and 22g half round, 2 brown Swarovski rounds and a carnelian round.


Fun with felt balls

I saw the felt balls on LB and called Izzy (my granddaughter). We had such fun making these and then the angel ornaments. Bead room shenanigans...
Components: We used felt wool balls, seed beads, cup beads and silver findings. We painted the angels with alcohol ink and she chose the charms for each. Ranger alcohol ink now comes in markers in sets.

Components: I got the cabochon in Kerrville, Texas at a craft show. I added the wiring and curly q loose copper hair. Beads include diopside chunky chips, coral chunky chips, frosted quartz (all LB) and variety of Czech beads, copper findings and of course a red suede strap

Components: 20 g antique copper wire, 26 g bright copper wire for wrapping. Czech glass beads and 8/0 seed beads, bright copper findings.

Components: Stash beads with large holes, I used turkey baster stainless steel ties and also found some with a ball top. They are about 2mm, so need large whole beads I used the large silicone earring backs for the stopper beads and wool/felt balls for the end( they’re super sharp so not intended for little kids). Anyhoo, another fun project.

Components: Kingman turquoise ( the more blue is indicative of copper and the more green is indicative of iron), the rondells are turquoise and spiny oyster, spiny oyster heishi beads, howlite triangles (LB- so glad I got them) and Kingman turquoise in different shaped beads. Swarovski globe beads. Copper findings and brown suede strap.


Mellow yellow

Components: Orbicular jasper focal(LB) wrapped with copper wire (square and half round). Bronzite and a cream African white opal and carnelian beads. I made the chain with my stash of Czech beads, Swarovski rounds, gemstone rounds. Copper findings. Oh, and Hootie, he’s a polymer clay kind of guy. Brown suede strap.
