The set looks good on the front and the back. It reminds me of the Elizabethian-cameo-choker styles that were popular for a while. I think I have some of those ‘ugly oval’ beads.

doglover72- The links shouldn’t bend under normal wear so straightening after assembly should work. I would also limit the length of individual links to 1 inch or less. If this still doesn’t work for you maybe try something stiffer like stainless steel(22g for wrapped-loop or 20g for simple loop;hard but can also be sharp!)or premade eyepins. [...]

Interesting thing about the Czech glass lavendar: held under flourescent or LED light it appears periwinkle blue.
