thanks sweet chick, ocean jasper is one of the gemstones that I instantly adored when I first began to see it at bead shows a few years ago, when I first got some strands I used to “hoard” them, couldn’t bear to use ‘em, just admired ‘em… and of course, love love love that new honey tourmalinated quartz, gotta order some soon… :)

    J Yee smart chick says:

    hi smoky,

yep, love all the vintaj brass that’s back like that wonderful woodland leaf, and the tiny filigree leaf they just got back…

Seattle is overcast right now BUT it isn’t raining and that’s good… my primroses are still alive yay!!! I’m still figuring out how often to water it, some of the blooms and a few leaves were looking kinda dry recently, so on w/ the water! went for a walk this am and love the yards around here… can’t even portray some of the many yummy colors I see in the plants and flowers…

how are you doing… where do you live?

  7. J Yee smart chick
    J Yee smart chick says:

okay, my birthday is in August, I’ve told a couple of friends that I wanna have a “Hawaii 5-0″ party cuz I’m from Hawaii originally and like the pun, LOL!!! no disrespect to youth, but I sure enjoy being who I am these days much more than I used to as a younger woman!!!

  8. Anita QoG Funny Chick
    Anita QoG Funny Chick says:

I know how you feel! I feel much more free & easy with myself at this age!! Don’t care about the little stuff anymore!!!

  9. Anita QoG Funny Chick
    Anita QoG Funny Chick says:

Oops, I was going to say that a Hawaii 5-0 party sounds so neat!!!

  10. Smoky Rose
    Smoky Rose says:

Joyce is a Peridot baby. Do you like your birthstone, Joyce? I didn’t care for them before, but they’re growing on me. My fav is demantoid garnet, which is like what every Peridot wishes it could be.
I am in Philly, Joyce – hate to tell you, its sunny and warm today. I have a dear, dear friend who lives along Lake Washington. The gardens around those properties……left me breathless. Your climate may not be perfect much of the year, but you guys sure know how to make the best of it! Love your area!
What’s your primrose doing, does it have yellowing leaves?

  11. J Yee smart chick
    J Yee smart chick says:

glad you chickies like the “5-0″ b-day party idea – so nice to be at the age I am now, I enjoy life a lot more than I used to!!!
smoky, I didn’t used to like peridot so much, but thanks to all the Picks w/ gorgeous peridot I now love it!!!
okay smoky… could ya send some of that sunshine and warmth over???
my primrose now looks mostly okay, leaves are mostly green, the edges of a few leaves were curling and turning yellow, the blooms also looked kinda dry… so checked the soil and figured uh oh, better water you quick… when you were out here did you get a chance to visit p-patch gardens… the city lets people garden on plots in these “p-patch” gardens in their neighborhood so folks can raise produce for themselves and others… a very neat government program…

    thanks chickies,

rubberchicken, you got my sympathies… like many others here I sometimes have to push myself to finish a project before I start another… hee hee… of course L.B. is no help, they just keep rolling out more gorgeous beads, so then I get more ideas for bead projects… :)

  15. Smoky Rose
    Smoky Rose says:

no, I didn’t Joyce – didn’t know about them – but I’ll say city and state govt has some very neat programs there – ie: the way homeless are handled, etc. impressive and should be a model. also excellent public transportation! – forgive grammer, spelling, etc today. I did visit….help me out, the gardens and woodlands near UW – Japanese gardens near there….cannot think of the name.
