“my little town”

Description from MH: was a village in central NY. To my kids it was heaven. To me it was good, bad, indifferent. I was raising 3 kids on my own, going to school, working. It was major responsibility! In winter it was cold and filled with snow. In summer it was hot and so humid you couldn't ever feel dry. They closed the school and bussed the kids. Our favorite house, built in the 1800's, was torn down after we left. A little creek ran through the dirt floor cellar every spring. Every time I planted a garden, a flood crashed down the hill behind us washing everything away. We all learned that nothing is permanent. I fell in an out of love twice. Some of the song pertains. I can never go back.

Wonderful pick. I can relate to changes in small towns after leaving. My hometown was so different the last time I was there 3 years ago. A couple of houses I lived in had been torn down. Luckily we have good memories as well as bad memories
