I had this image from a collection of vintage postcards. I just loved the colors in the Grand Canyon one. The little bits of ribbon knotted around the leather brings the sunset all around the bracelet.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 3' Lace Leather 3/16"
  • 2' Hand Dyed Silk Ribbon 7/16"
  • 1 Bezel Link
  • other components to fill bezel
  • vintage image for back of bezel
  • 1 Jump Ring 6mm
  • 1 2" Headpin
  • 1 Lobster Clasp 15x9mm

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

First I properly sealed my oval cut piece of vintage postcard. Then I stuck it down and layered in materials that brought that earthy vibe in the image - a curlique from a grape vine, and a couple of pebbles.

Step 2

Once my resin piece was fully cured, I attached it to the length of leather lace. Then I loosely wrapped the leather around my wrist to have a baseline for where to place my knots and tie on the snippets of ribbon. I like the knots because of the texture they bring to the piece. Once I was done knotting and tying ribbon, I decided where I wanted the end to be and attached the lobster clasp with a jump ring.

Step 3

The charm gives that last zip of color from the trees and grasses before the sun goes down. I love putting charms on my clasps :)
