Weathered Fishtail Braided Bracelet

I am really into bracelets right now, especially with summer coming. For this bracelet I really wanted to make something interesting enough to stand on its own with a pair of jeans, but neutral enough to be easily grouped with other bracelets for days when I just need more ;-)

↓ Step-by-step

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 30" leather lace
  • 4' 5mm leather bolo cord
  • adhesive

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

For creating an overhand knot with a loop out of leather lace, I like to place one side on the other with both topsides facing up.

Step 2

Begin the fishtail braid using the bolo. It is important to keep the lacing flat as you braid.

Step 3

When you are at your finished length, knot the lacing around the bolo and dabbing inside of the knot with adhesive. Take the bolo and knot decoratively, then fraying the bolo apart. Take the lace and create another overhand knot to be used as the closure to pop through the loop.
