Painted Sky Cuff Bracelet

Step 1

Mark on the cuff using a sharpie, where you want to punch your holes. Use the smaller end of the two hole punch. It is important to punch your holes before applying the patina inks.

Step 2

Punch holes on your snippets of leather.

Step 3

Patina or paint using Vintaj Patina Inks on your cuff. Let the ink/paint dry fully, then lightly sand or use as-is.

Step 4

Set each of the segments on the cuff using the micro fasteners.

Ceramic Disk Segment = 0-80 brass bolt + #0 stainless steel washer + #0 copper washer + leather bit + ceramic disk + 25mm hammer tone disk + middle hole in 3" piece of leather + cuff + #0 brass washer + 0-80 brass hex nut

Lampwork Glass Segments = 0-80 brass bolt + #0 copper washer + leather bit + lampwork bead + end hole in 3" piece of leather + cuff + #0 brass washer + 0-80 brass hex nut

Step 5

Use socket wrench #0 for 0-80 hex head bolts, to tighten the bolts.

What to do with the long bolts?

Cut the ends of the bolts flush with the hex nut in the underside of the cuff. Don't use your standard jewelry cutting pliers, you will ruin them! I stole Kevin's wire cutters from the toolbox in our basement!

Step 8

This is how the underside of your cuff should look once you have trimmed the bolt ends. If the underside is scratchy, cover with a bit of leather and epoxy or try sanding the trimmed bolt.
