About this design:

The artistic, or paintbrush jasper seemed sort of prehistoric. The addition of dinosaur charms makes the piece live up to the name. Intended for someone who is bold enough to wear something different.

18 gauge sterling silver wire, spacer beads, bead caps, and charms, Artistic/Paintbrush Jasper, White Agate, dyed Kiwi Jasper, Blue Pietersite, Rainbow Obsidian, Lapidalite Jasper.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1:
There are no complicated procedures in the piece. Just ordinary wire work.

John, this is just fabulous! I’ve loved dinos since I was 8 – what a great grown-up way to indulge the archeology addiction! I’d wear it in a heartbeat – Super job!!! :)

John, what an outstanding necklace! Wonderful choice of beads to go with that fab focal bead!!! :D At the risk of insulting the designer, if someone wasn’t into dinosaurs, could the cross chains with the charms be removed? The piece would still be beautiful. :D

Welcome to the Design Gallery! :D

Thanks to all of you for your kind comments! To Lynn Eileen, yes, the chains could be removed. The reason was to show more dino charms an to break away from a traditional look. John

I LOVE Artistic Jasper! And am always looking for new ideas on how to use it. This is fantastic!
The wirework really lightens the piece both in appearance and I imagine in weight too.
I like the dinosaurs and yes, very Jurassic!
Great job John! Show us more!!!

I like this!!! Great stone choices, and love the dinos.
I would wear it, but would not be able to let my grandaughter see it. She would beg me to give it to HER! Half the time she has trouble saying “archeologist” but is sure she wants to be one. ;)

Very witty. I like the sophisticated “primitive” stones with the little dinosaurs.

Hi, John! Thanks for answering my question about the charms & chains. I think they look wonderful, but was only curious in case I designed something similar if I should offer if both ways in case someone preferred it without. :D
