Petite Squiggles

About this design:

Been squiggling again. I wanted to see how small squiggles would look linked together. The jury is still out on that. However, I think I'll take it to the Farmers Market on Friday and see the general reaction.

The background color looks more on the blue side in a couple of the pictures. I guess it is due to the up right positions reflecting more of the sky color. Ya think?

This is fantastic, Nancy! I just love all your “squiggle-themed” designs! :D This is sure to sell quickly at the Farmer’s Market!

RE: the colors. Light is a mysterious thing, isn’t it? 8)

Glad you like the squiggles, Lynn. It is a good thing they don’t have to match. :D
You are so right about light. I never noticed the difference until I saw the photos.

oh!! I love this beautiful. Did you texturize the wire first and is it square. lovely. Those freeforms would be awesome with todays fresh pic freeforms. i love this

Thanks, Karen, glad you like it.
The wire I used is 14ga round wire. I shape the squiggles first then texture it with a chasing hammer. The last step is a couple of whacks with a raw hide mallet to harden it some more so it will keep its shape.

So cute! It’s like the doodles you do when sitting in an over-long meeting… haha! :)

Thanks for the “step-by-step” comment, too. A rawhide mallet… yet another tool to purchase! 8)

Glad you like my squiggles, Cindy. Doodles and scribbled decorated the margins of the notes I took in almost every one of my college lecture class. :D
My next hammer purchase is going to be a riveting or goldsmith’s hammer. By the time we are through buying hammers we’ll be able to pound ANYTHING! WOO Hoo!
