Organic Crazy Lace

About this design:

The inspiration for this design came from the gorgeous Crazy Lace Agate pendant stone. It made me think of an island rain forest. Finding the orange (dyed) coral wheels that perfectly matched the orange rust in the pendant solidified the concept. I paired them with wood, green jasper and copper beads in the necklace. The flow of the pattern in the pendant stone dictated that this be a Y-design.

Crazy Lace Agate, dark wood beads in two sizes, green jasper rounds, coral wheels, and copper.

My motto is any color so its red and the red in this necklace brings out the color in the crazy lace agate pendant (never seen crazy lace this color). Nice design and choice of beads.

HI Betty–I agree about the crazy lace colors. I’m using the vendor’s term here–I tell customers that it’s crazy lace jasper. That’s primarily because the density of the stone doesn’t have any of the translucence that I’d expect with an agate.

This is beautiful. I love the play of the wood, green jasper and copper beads against the Coral. The pendant is lovely and makes a great focal.

It sold! A customer fell in love, but wasn’t sure about the greens. She went home, got the new safari jacket and set it on my table. We draped the necklace on it and WOW–perfect match and the wood and coral popped out. It had a very tribal look.
