Summer Wreath

About this design:

The other day send out a free pattern called "Endless Summer" It featured a shell flower, pearls, crystals and wirework. I totally loved it, but alas, I didn't have a shell flower in the stash and I simply couldn't wait to order one. So I decided to use a carved jade rose focal together with a strand of pearls in shades of green. I added a a bit of Russian serpentine for grins and giggles. I made the wirework tendrils from 6 inch pieces of20G copper wire. I used a toothpick to roll the wire, tightly in the center to create a bale and the loosely to create the tendril. I added some raspberry glass beads for rosebuds and some glass maple leaf beads to be the folliage and finished the ends with a loop that was carefully (as in very carefully) pounded shut. The hook is pounded from 16G copper wire and the eye is a link from some leftover copper chain. The rose focal is strung to be just a bit off center to the left, because many wreaths are created that way. And to give proper credit, here is a link to the necklace that inspired mine:
