About this design:

You have been so receptive to the last upside down necklace and the lariat that I just had to make another one. This one has a hook that turned out really round. I paired it up with copper washers in 3 different sizes, smoke colored glass beads, all linked together with copper wire and finished with a piece of 60 pound nylon fishing/Rosary twine. Again, only the nylon touches the skin. They would also work well for ladies who have trouble reaching behind to hook a necklace

Hook pounded from 12G copper wire. Links from 20G copper wire. Washers in 3 sizes, all hammered for texture. 60 pound nylon fishing/Rosary twine. The wire came from the hardware store. The washers came from Grainger. The twine came from the fishing department at Walmart. The beads came from my stash

This one is great too. I’m inspired. I have already made the hook. Went to Home Depot yesterday and they didn’t have copper washers. I found Graingers online. Thanks for sharing your information with us.

If you live near a Grainger outlet, you can call in your order or order on line and then go pick it up, and save the shipping charges. In addition to washers and such, they have a great selection of tools. The guys who work there are happy to learn a bit about jewelry making – they won’t talk down to you! Katherine

I found my washers at Harbor Freight. (not to self: scan and post washer necklace!)
I smiled at the name “fishing/Rosary twine” – what a double duty… popular Sunday pastimes… ‘fisher of men’ connection too.
