Skystone Meets Volcano(Poor Man's Version)

About this design:

I love turquoise and pearls, and wanted something that would pop. This is the economy version of my Fresh Pick from last week.

Turquoise magnesite barrels, white potato pearls, white button pearls, hematite rondelles, lava rock rectangles, hammered sterling silver toggle.

I like this, Susie! The colors are great! Love the contrast between the roughness of the lava stone and the smoothness of the pearls!

I like this design, especially the use of lava rock! Does anyone have a cure for keeping the center stone from rolling or flipping over? Or is glue the best answer?

I haven’t figured that out yet, and am learning as I go. I think either using an even number of stones, or not pulling the wire so tight, so the stones can move a bit. In the necklace, I REALLY snugged the beads. The wire is probably a bit too tight….

    :-P Hey Elis Mom, It’s a colon, a dash and a capital P!
Lima did a blog on various faces you can make. Not sure how far back in the archives it is but it’s out there somewhere. Hope this helps! :-D

This is such a nice balance. I like lava stones, their interesting texture, but never know what they go well with. Your design is simple and elegant.
