About this design:

I've never been very good at using bookmarks - I take them out when I resume reading, lay them down and forget about them/lose them. But I've started making some beaded bookmarks - book thongs - and I don't put them down. They feel so good looped around a finger that I don't misplace them!

They are a great use for the lovely charms and seedbeads that Lima Beads sells; the combinations are endless...

Note: the book is written by a neighbor of mine, and is quite good. It's available on Amazon if you're interested.

Charm, silver-plated ribbed bicone, seedbeads, accuflex, crimps,

Lovely! I’ve made some but with beads and charms just on the ends using tubing in the center. Tough to sell them these days as electronic books have sort of taken over!

I like that idea of a “Bookthong”. My memory is like a Black Hole. Any concept that gets near, never to be seen or heard from again. I have lost so many I gave up and reverted to trial and error finding where I left off. Great Idea. I’ll see if I can come up with a variation then carry a couple extra with me. “Just in Case” I do lose it. Small, compact, easy for storage and transportation. Expands for a paperback novel or to full size for a hardbound book. Definitely, beneficial idea.
