The "Carrie" Necklace

About this design:

I've been admiring different versions of the "Carrie" necklace, that I've seen on the web. Here's my interpretation, with some dreamy Aquamarine rondelles.

They're so sparkly ice blue. I like the delicate look of this piece.
The original was diamonds,of course, and is worth 55K!

Aquamarine rondelles 7.5X4mm,sterling silver oval cable chain 3x2mm,SS wire, and lobster claw clasp.

your’s is better!..i like the gorgeous colour in yours (which is more authentic, the blue or the green in your pics; like it doesn’t matter, both are beautiful!) & how you’ve strung them on a bar – been trying to do that but it gets weighed down, so howdya do it? if you don’t mind my asking!

Hi ladies~~~~Thanks for your very nice comments. The stones are actually ice blue.In fact,if you look at them thru magnification, you can see rainbows. (sigh). ; )
My “bar” is just SS wire. (I used 22G, round, half hard). I simply slid 6 on the wire, and made a simple loop at both ends. Then I bent it very gently. Just attach a jump ring, and loop that onto your chain.
Here’s a super duper close up of another one.

So pretty Nancy! I love the aquamarines! Maybe not as valuable as diamonds, but much more character and color!!! :)
Like you, I’ve seen this type of style on all kinds of bead and jewelry pages recently. Hum… Guess “Carrie” is an influence! LOL
I think it would be fun to try this with some of our colorful crystals or the fun Czech rondelles.
