About this design:

Had a wonderful new years day sitting at my work table, firing up the torch, banging on some metal, and getting inspired! Someone showed me this kind of metal flower last summer, and I decided to give it a go. After I fashioned the 'blooms', I added the stamens, and hung rose quartz briolettes from their centers. I affixed them to 20 gauge wires that I turned into the ear wire. So ready for those soft pastels coming in the spring. Happy New year!

WOW! These are really great ear rings. Love, love, love them!

What gauge metal did you use for the cones and how did you shape them? Another technique to add to the list…..:D

These were made from 24 gauge copper.. and you basically make a heart shape, texture it, fire it to soften it, sand it, then roll it up. If you want one with a stem, at the top of the heart extend the copper with a narrow rectangle of copper.
