New Year Challenge

About this design:

These earrings are my entry into this month's Art Bead Scene challenge. Your entry needs to include at least one purchased art bead or made-by-you bead. I fell in love with this month's inspiration and would invite you to play along if you wish. There's still plenty of time to head over to Art Bead Scene and check out the simple requirements. Reveal day at the end of January.

Handmade poly clay beads, acrylic paints, brass beads and ear wires, seed beads, 4 ply waxed linen cord

Hi, Lynn, yes, the beads started out as small lumps of white polymer clay. Stamped, baked, and painted with brown, teal, and gold acrylic paint. Sealed with a satin varnish.

Hi, Valley Girl, I love these kinds of jewelry challenges, because everyone wins…in a sense. Everyone just shows off their designs. There is a drawing for a couple of neat prizes though. Thinking of entering??

I think it would be fun to check out… I have never entered a beading contest before… perhaps 2013 will be a year full of new challenges!
