M Wire Bracelet

About this design:

Wirewrapping using artistic wire brass 16 gauge and 24 gauge. Clored first with acrylic and then gilders paste over ended with a clear finish. It looks like an M in the wrapping, thats great my second name being Margareta and my surename Malm. I might change the clasp to a vintaj brass (no at home). Might also add some gilders paste to chain? hmmm... Saw that the beads needs some cleaning me have made a mess :( So it might be some changes to the design. I wasn't making it to myself but guess I have to use it...

Artistic wire brass gauge 16 + 24, Vintaj Natural Brass chain/jumprings, Seed Beads, Czech, Crystals, Shell Pearls,Gilders Paste, Claudine Hellmuth studio multimedium gloss (Gun metal clasp). Stach: Acrylic Paint

Love it, Frida!!! It’s really cool the way it is but if you want to change it up, I know that would be fab, too! Maybe you could just wear it in the shower (?) to clean it up? :)

Thank you dear Becky :D I actually might do the shower trick ;) I’m thinking of abusing it some and see how strong it is. Specially the metal coloring worries me a bit. I didn’t put any exensive stuff in the design ’cause I wanna se how it holds…

Frida, it’s great! I love how you used the gilder’s paste. It adds so much depth to the design. Perhaps all you need to do is apply some paste to the links, and change up the clasp to a larger one……

  5. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

Oh! I forgot to say your wirework is to die for!

  6. Frida
    Frida says:

Thank you Susie :D I actually thought about a larger clasp think this looks a bit small, just added it to get a picture/look of the design. Some gilders on the chain could do it.

I’m so impatient sometimes… Must buy me some vintaj clasps.

  8. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Wow! Spectacular…I would have no patience for this.
As aggravated as I get at jump rings and head pins and getting chain to hang right.

  9. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

Frida, if you can create such lovely wirework, you are more than patient!

  10. Frida
    Frida says:

Thank you Deb :D Tell me about it, I can be really angry with this kind of work…

  11. Frida
    Frida says:

Haha Susie, I might be, might not be so good at judging my patient skills :) I have trashed a lot! Many beautiful words passing my lips :P But stringin and crimping can allso “go one ones nerves” gah so many times not happy 8o

  12. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

But….doesn’t hammering on it make you feel better? :)

  13. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

Ya! I really don’t like crimping. Last 2 necklaces made me wanna pull my hair out!

  14. Frida
    Frida says:

Ohhh yeees it does :D Smash smash smash awesome therapy! Highly recomend hammering. One of the worst thing is when thin gauge wire brokes, too strong sometimes…

WOW! Frida, I like this SO much! The gilder’s paste on the brass is AWESOME! I also like the BIG pearls! :)
This is the type of wire-wrapping I want to learn to do. I like the large gauge frame with small gauge for accents.

  16. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

Gonna have to get a hammer AND a torch!

  17. Frida
    Frida says:

Thank you Julie :D I think the pearls looks a bit bigger in pic, they are 8 mm :) This kind of wire-wrapping you will learn quite fast, I think!

  18. Frida
    Frida says:

Torch is on my wish list too! Hammering and burning mohhahaha!!

  26. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Actually Asia if they invented an extra set of hands that woild hold things while you try to.adjust. and close jump rings or crimp or string beads that would be the best invention ever.
