1st Necklace.....

About this design:

I like simple pieces. This is my first attempt at a necklace. Gotta start somewhere. Ha ha.
I like the way it came out. Although I think the chain should be much thinner. I've seen these type of necklace w/ beads strung on a hard wire so they lay horizontal across the chest. I think I like the drape better. The Botswana Agate colors are richer than they show in the pics.

Botswana Agate, shell chips, silver heishi, chain and findings.

Seriously?!?!?! This is your first attempt at a necklace?!?!?! I just assumed you had made others, because this is wonderful! :D Simple design, great colors, and I like the chain you’ve selected, Peggy. Of course, the final decision is yours…. 8) Did you make a bracelet and/or earrings to match? Inquiring minds want to know…. :)

WOW! You must be a VERY quick learner!!!! :)

Keep that chain–the agates are heavy and it balances them out as well as holds them at a great angle. I love the drape the way you have it and the other bead choices are perfect. Well done!!!!

LOVE this Peggy! I really like it when the stone/bead/glass can stand on it’s own and make a statement. Keep it Simple is always a winner! :)

Thank you ladies. Your comments are greatly appreciated. I had uploaded the pictures and hesitated to push ‘send’. ;) .

Eileen Chicky one thing at a time. lol. Just kidding. I would love to make matching earrings.
Problem is The Botswana agate is not in great condition. 1/2 the beads are fine and the other
are… looks like they were damaged when drilled.
There are clouded areas near the drill hole. I’m thinking others have had the same problem.

I can thank Ali. When I found LB a couple months ago – her shambala bracelet was featured and I fell in love with the agate and pave beads. The agate was my first purchase. Love LB
