Target FIRE!

About this design:

Have these great dark orange glass disc's from River Oak Acres lampwork, and they found their way to some embossed and patina'ed copper discs on my workbench. The flat disc begged for some 'oomph', but doming didn't seem like the answer. So... I 'wrinkled' it into a wavy shape. I placed a swarovski crystal in the center to hold the glass disc to the copper and the 'fire is in the hole'! ( ok,... second amendment day around my city and it seemed appropriate ;-))

lamwork glass disc, copper disc, crystal, copper ear wire.

What a novel design. I like it! In fact I like it a lot! I’ve gotta try wrinkling some copper! What gauge will I need? :D

I am pretty sure this is 24 gauge copper… punched out with a disc cutter, embossed through the rolling mill ( although you could use a sizzix machine as well), then given a patina with liver of sulphur.

Unusual and fantastic design. I’ve seen the flat use of disk beads somewhere else lately. Definitley showcases them better that just strung. Your copper disks are cool.
