Mod Squad Necklace

About this design:

I have a ton of Lucite to go through, so I put this necklace together. I was going to list it on the Etsy shop, but, I'm not so sure....

Vintage Lucite hoops and drops, Amythist cubes, Swarovski crystals, nylon fiber chain, brass lobster clasp.

Oops. Forgot to say that the crystal is wonderful, too. Really adds to the color scheme.

    This is GROOVY!!! ;)
I was thinking Mark or Mike. I just Googled it and the third member of Mod Squad was Pete.

I say to list it. There are lots of people who are into the vintage feel. This is perfect for a summer sundress.

Or what about a navy turtleneck. That would be so appropriate for Mod Squad.

I repeat after Julie, GROOVY, I’m trying to figure out how you connected the rings, you definitely should list that :D

Thanks, Ladies! Asia, i made a wrapped loop with the amy cubes, and used a jumpring to connect the hoop. Then strung them all on beading wire, which I attched to the chain with jump rings.
I’m thinking I may take out the bit of chain above the hoops to make a more smooth transition. Need to sleep on it…

Susie, I also think this is groovy and very cool! Just a thought though, how do it hang on a real person? Thinking of the chain. That said, I do love this look and think it so in time, so you should def. list it, my friend :D

    Thanks, Ladies!

Frida, the whole necklace is very lightwieght. It hangs nicely on a an average size person, but not so well on someone who is a bit “heavier”.

A friend gave me a big bag of her castoffs. Some is junk, but some can be McGyvered. In with the junk is a nice long piece of vintage brass chain. I just might redo this necklace with the vintage chain rather than the nylon.

I think it’s soo cool!! Lucite and all :D Isn’t interesting how different a necklace can be on different peresons. It can be a pain though when it wont hang as one want it to.
