Cherry Blossoms

About this design:

I was sitting at the last poorly attended craft show trying to at least salvage the day by creating more pieces no one wanted to buy. :) I had brought along the pink flower beads, some oval Czech glass beads in pinks, and 2 sizes of Vintaj bead caps, not knowing I would end up putting them all together. I made the small pink flowers and put bead caps on the small pink ovals and thought wow--these really look like cherry blossoms and buds. The rest is history. I do like how it finally turned out but I had a heckuva time getting the asymmetry balanced. It doesn't come naturally to me at all. Hope you like them!

From LB: every single thing! Czech glass flowers and beads, Vintaj brass leaves, bead caps, chain, wire, jumprings, earwires, blank, patinas, and the embossing form I used on the blank and the Green Girl shibuichi clasp.

Thank you so much! I am so happy to hear positive words. :) I did plenty of growling while making it. I even took it to work part of the way through to get some opinions there. :) Now I need to still have Amber take pictures for me because this is as good as I can do with Hubby’s camera.

Boy can I relate. Asymmetry is a major challenge for me also. My friends all tell me I am the most balanced person they know so maybe that has something to do with why asymmetry is so awkward for me. When I attempt to make something asymmetrical it somehow never seems to be quite finished. Oh well I’m probably just too anal. Your set is beautifully charming. It reminds me of the tree in the front yard of my childhood home. Kudos!
