About this design:

This frame is made from some wide aluminum 'wire' I found at craft store. I cut 4 pieces and just wove the corners together, folding over the ends and tapping them down with a rubber mallet.

I made the wire bail from 20g copper artistic wire, adding swirls to cover the place it connects & holds the amethyst drop. Then I wrapped 24g copper wire for support and stability, plus it looks pretty cool. 3rd pick is the back.

Amethyst, copper wire

You’ve managed to achieve elegant and rustic at the same time, Cindy. This is a great design and love how you thought about making it “sturdy” as well as beautiful – - -
