About this design:

After commenting that I have a difficult time designing mismatched earrings when Zippy-Klunk (sorry I don't know your real name) posted her beautiful pair the other day, she challenge me to make some. So here they are. The first pair happened because I really liked the carnelian and jade together. The second pair were inspired by Ali's non-identical twins design.

Pair #1: carnelian wavy buttons, olive jade nuggets, dark bronze czech square, matte mauve mocha, african sunset, and dark bronze magatamas from LB, purple waxed linen copper bead tips and wire, iris round and saucer from stash. Pair #2: oxblood and african sunset 6/0 seed beads, Tierracast antique brass heishi from LB, coral 6/0 seed beads, bone beads and brass findings from stash. Pair #3: Tierracast hummingbird and jasmine charms, raspberry mocha crystals from LB, cream quartz rounds, silver plate findings from stash.

You definitely get the idea, Jolene ! Especially like the first and third pair – - slightly different concepts that both work really well. Had an acquaintance once that never wore earrings that matched – - -

The great concept of balance does not mean symmetry. I love your earrings… very balanced and no matchy matchy! If our faces are not symmetrical… maybe our ears should deserve no less? Keep it up!

Especially the first pair. They *DO* go together, they just don’t have to “match”… I think these are perfectly great!
I really like the second pair. There’s so many color combos and texture combos to work with in this simple but fun design. These will go with anything. Dressy to fun.
The third pair are for the girl who needs to “match” but wants to be a little bit adventurous…

You have taken–and BEATEN–the challenge! GO GIRL!!! :)
