Bronze Sunflower

About this design:

I have had those six sided graduated Botswana Agate for two years now. So I went looking at what I had and found the pendant. So now to figure something out with them. It wasn't easy being they don't like to be on the curve,or sit flat up against other beads. It was a few hours of string, pulling off and stringing again. This is what I finally liked.

Botswana Agate, Bronzite, Smoky Quartz, Czech square and round beads, square ceramic brown beads, brass spacers, beads, jump rings, gold and brass clasp, delica beads, Topaz silver flower focal. The Botswana Agate, Bronzite squares and the czech squares are all from LB.

Nice Wanda. I spent the Holiday sorting out my stash to make room for new stuff (czech glass) and I know what you mean about stringing and restringing.
I have taken two necklaces apart to redesign and restring. Amazing what we have on hand isn’t it? Love the Botswana Agate. I uncovered some I bought within the last year and discovered some of the pieces have this wild vein of pink….got me thinking! A little rose quartz and Botswana agate.

Thank you Fresh Baked, N Taylor and Asia. :) Yes NT it is amazing! Digging back into that far corner of a drawer and OH, forgot I bought that. I would like to see the design you do if and when you do decide to make it, using the Botswana agate.

I’m glad you were persistent because you made a lovely necklace. Those beads/stones that want to be little knotheads when you are making something can take all the fun out of designing. But when you finish, ahhhhh, its a good feeling.

Thanks Nancy, Lynn and Deb. Yes Deb it was a great feeling when I finished it, sat back and looked. I did have the big bronzite nuggets in between the agate at first. But they made it look so dark. So I had those ceramic beads and tried them. I like the way the edging on them makes the yellow agate pop more.

The agates steal the show, but the pendant is striking, too. Great piece!
