Yellow Cat Red Agate with Pearls

About this design:

Still working with the "loot" I brought back from camping/hiking in S. Utah, I made this wire-wrapped Yellow Cat Red Agate pendant. After finishing it, I set it down next to these mulit-color mix keishi pearls that arrived in a recent shipment. Voila!. The pendant designed itself into a necklace. Just add copper.

Agate specimen, twisted (three strands) Cu wire, keishi pearls in green-copper-silver and peacock tones, Cu toggle, Cu beads.

Thanks, Nancy, Asia and MaryS. This piece goes on display today and this weekend at my markets. I’m in love with it and only will part with it to someone who truly appreciates it. Thus, I’ve priced it high.

MaryS–I love serendipity. Some of my best designs happen when beads find each other.

Thanks, MM. It is a great blend of rustic and formal–something to wear every day AND a collectible specimen of UT gemstones.

WOW!!! The Agate is awesome. However, the mix of colors in the pearls and the copper is MORE awesome. This is perfection!!!
btw: Isn’t Utah a fab-lovely place??? I lived in NE desert for a few years but visted several other regions. Gorgeous!!!

    I truly appreciate everyone’s compliments.

Julie–yes, Utah’s great–specially for rockhounding. Where in the NE desert did you live? Got any great places there to find stones?

gembeans–my weekend customers echoed your comment.

I still have the necklace–not close enough to autumn for purchasing these color tones, I guess. I had several ladies take my card with later purchase in mind (possibly).

Ed, I broke the repetition of pearls by including spiral etched copper oval beads flanked by 3mm copper round beads.
