Beautiful, Asia! How does the Swellegant compare to the Vintaj patinas as far as ease of use and color?

Susie, it is totally different than Vintaj patina, that is really a paint, this one is like a real patina, it reacts with metal, so you really don’t know the result until you finish, you can leave the piece for as long as you want, it will keep developing color, after you are satisfy, you can buff it and you have to finish with a metal compatible coating other wise it will keep on changing :D

Also beautiful Asia. I remember that pick. The leaf focal is fantastic. Thanks for the swelligant info also. It sounds like it is more along the lines of what I want to use to color metal.

Is that just the Swellegant PATINAS that work that way? Or do all the Swellegant color types react? i have a few of each kind but haven’t tried them yet.

Becky this is the Tiffany, Verdigris works similar, but gives you a different green shade, they mimic the natural weathering process that occurs on metals, the colors also react with the metal but the effect is more translucent, however you can layer them to intensify the color, you can also use them over piece that was treated with the typical patina, you get more rustic feel and more depth with Swellegant. I also use a torch to heat the metal and speed the process, happy experimenting! :D
