In The Garden

About this design:

This is what I worked on today, in between kitty nursemaid sessions. Little noses nose spray, eye ointment, clavamox, chickenbroth, steam sessions, faces and noses washed with baby wipes. Then they finally slept for hours. And woke up screaming for food.

This is the Vintaj birdbath pendant. I painted it with nail polish. (love my nail polish). Behind the pendant is a filigree trumpet shaped cone that I flattened. Then wire wrapped some pearls and crystals.

Tippy toes in a large mug I forgot on the floor. My floor is no where near as lovely as Julie's, in fact it looks like crap.

Vintaj Birdbath pendant. Filigree cone, flattened. Green & lilac freshwater pearls. Lilac crystals. Wisteria seed beads. Czech lilac glass beadcaps. Green crystals. Green bugle beads. Brass jump rings.

Love this pendant; the whole necklace. You really do a beautiful job with fingernail polish. It gave the pendant an amazing vintage look.

And oh my GOSH…That little Tippy Toes in the mug. I’ll have a cup of THAT anytime! I can’t stand it; too cute. We have the exact same mugs (at least they look identical) and I can just imagine a little one curled up in it.

LOVE the necklace! Love the little dangles. Especially like the ring you created. And also your MacGyvered nail-polish pendant. :)

TippyToes is so tiny just like Darcy. Is that ButterBall’s paw reaching out to get him?
BTW: The pretty wood surface is my dresser. I have tile in the house because wood is so hard to care for in FL.

Well, I love the kitty in the teacup. anyway you can hang that on a chain?

But seriously, fantastic job painting the pendant and the rest of the necklace is awesome. Great job.

Thank you Lois…I think it looks vintage also. I had my polish removee ready in case it looked bad though.

Julie I could have sworn it was a floor…it looked huge. And.yes.that is ButterBall. That ring was a pain in the butt it’s so small. I don’t recommend it at all.

Hmmm can I put a kitten in a cup on a chain?? That would be a cute.charm.

Asia the kitties do seem to be doing better. Every single one acted like they were miserable this morning. No one played today at all. But they are playing now. They hate when I spray the little noses saline drops up there nose bit after they sneeze that mess out.

Deb, Deb, Deb, what can I say? You are the most fantastic kitty nursemaid ever! And that little kitty-in-a-cup is the cutest little stinkin’ thing ever! I have been messing with polymer clay and I think I am going to attempt to make you a kitty-in-a-cup pendant so you can always remember this. :) Oh, the necklace…. :) I am so going to steal every one of your design and MacGyvered ideas. This is PERFECT. Vintage, earthy, eyecatching, fun, and gorgeous!!!!!

Gosh, if you could figure out how to patent a kitty-in-a-teacup pendant, your financial future would be all set ! But the one you actually made is very unique and the necklace to go with it is both light and colorful – - great design, Deb ! Hope the kitties continue to recover, too.

Thanks Laud, N4B, MM, Becky, CB & Wanda.

Kitties are doing so much better today. Thank heavens someone told me how to get amoxicillin without a vet visit because I couldn’t get an appt until tomorrow. I had eye ointment and little noses from before.

Deb, this is stunning! A wonderful combination of luscious colors and wire wrapping! And of course the pendant is the icing on the cake! LOVE it!

And who could resist that adorable tea-cup kitty!! :-D That is one of the sweetest things I’ve seen in a long time! A frame-able photo for sure! (I want one of those kitties so bad!) 8O sigh………….

  19. Granny Nancy
    Granny Nancy says:

Well, first and most importantly, glad to hear your little furbabies are doing better.

And secondly, if she makes any multiples in the kitty in a cup (for hanging on a chain) remember it was my idea and I want first dibs. I’ll pay for it of course. I’m sure she’d sell a lot of them.

In fact if she made custom kitties, she could sell even more. My daughter-in-law loves her little white cat who is no longer a kitten but is just as sweet as she can be and I can see her curled up in a blue cup – she is totally white.

Obviously, creating something where features could be seen in a cup might be kind of difficult so curled up in a cats bed might be easier and production stepped up :) .

Deb..I’m loving this. You sure know how to create masterpieces. There’s something very chic about they way you’ve spaced the pearl and crystals between the chains. fabulous!
Puddy tat in the cup. Doesn’t get much cuter!
