Surf and Sand

About this design:

Updated version. Dangles on both sides of focal. I found tiny topaz crystals (duh...had them since Oct.) & redid the 3rd strand with them. I like it better because it brings that color from the focal to that side.

A bargain of a bracelet. The lampwork bead was in that $1.00 tray at Wally World...w/ 3 other beads. The toggle ring is one of those bezel things from an interchangeable watch. My friend Kathy gave me a box with bunches of those & the bands. I made the toggle bar. All the blue seed beads were in a bag, again at Wally World for $1.00. Most expensive items were the 3 czech beads & wire.

The babies finally had their vet appt. Friday. Lungs are clear. Got a large bottle of clavamox. A nutritional supplement to mix with their formula to get the weight back. Today everyone is playing, still sneezing, but no one sounds like they are snorting anymore. Thank you everyone for your good wishes. 1 more week and they need to find homes. Anybody?? lol

Czech glass spring bouquet. Wave lampwork bead. Various Aqua & topaz beads. Watch bezel. Copper findings. Copper wire.

Love this. I am new to beading and haven’t seen the kind of stuff you buy to get that look in the second picture to the left just up above that looks like a blue ear of corn. Sorry I don’t know any other way to explain it. Can you tell me what to do to get that look. Is that one thing you buy or 3 strands you make?
    Help! Thanks.

Am so glad your furbabies are doing better, Deb ! And nobody loves a bargain more than I do (well, except for you, maybe). Would love this bracelet even if it were made of gold, but the fact that you found everything at the big box store makes it fabulous. Last time I was there, I found some great copper findings at a steal – - – keep on shopping !

Thank you everyone for all your wonderful comments and compliments on my bargain bracelet. I’ve had that lampwork bead for.awhile and kept thing I should do something with it. I got lucky that my pick went POD that had those czech beads because they were a perfect match. Half strands are a bargain BTW. I’m really pleased myself…a bead that cost a QUARTER made this cute of a bracelet!!! Whoo Hoo!!

  16. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

@Stylinga…the thing that look like a blue ear of corn, perfect description BTW, is actually 3 strands of small beads strung on beading wire and each end is crimped to hold the beads on. I think there is a tute for crimping on here in the creat & learn tab. You can also search Google or YouTube for videos on how to string beads and how to crimp.
