Whimsical Heart

About this design:

A small bundle of Gaea ceramic beads just happened to match some of my long held stash of ceramic beads from Peru. Then I found these wood red beads in a box..have no idea at all where they came from or when?? I'm not really a big on red person but I think its kind of cute.

I made a tiny brass wire heart for a dangle. I had seen the tutorial a few weeks ago & Angela's leaf reminded me.

Tippy Toes & T-Girl went to their new home Wednesday. Just the 4 boys left. T-Boy is in love with me so he will stay here.

Gaea ceramic beads. Ceramic beads from Peru. Red wood beads. Czech glass flowers. Small cream ceramic beads. Sari silk. Copper jump rings. Antique brass wire. Tiny brass wire heart.

Wow, Deb! I’d say that’s a perfect marriage of beads! Your wrapping skills are great! I really like how you treated the pendant…you created it all as one piece? Overall, a beautiful necklace. I’m jealeous of you ability to incorporate the fibers in your designs….I want to, but can’t make it work…

    Very cute kitty!

Susie adding that ribbon was easy. Instead of the chain or the beads I had planned I just used that. Made a larks head on the loop of one bead and tied it on the other loop.

Yea the pendant is all one piece. Don’t ask how I did that…I don’t even know…lol. I made a big loop and wrapped. I think I just did another wrap and then pulled the wire through and did a big loop and wrapped again. I did work hard on those wraps I wanted fat doible messy ones. Had to do some over. Pain in my…..

Thank you for the compliment Susie..I really value your opinion so much.

Really cool design! I could keep looking at this one for a long time. Pink and red should be sweet, but you managed to keep them in line! I like the cool touches of pale blue–or is that seafoam?

Thank you Laud. Hmmm the flowers are jonquil I think and the light ceramic beads are cream. I had problems getting light this afternoon. Cloudy here.

Deb, this is awesome, love the colors, does anybody know how to get resin out of bezel, I made a necklace to match the bracelet that I made before, I don’t like the picture, it is one of the Gaea bezels, so chisel is out of question ;) :D

Deb, this is just so adorable. Everyone has already said everything there is to day… unless I had it in my hands to really examine closely. I love everything about it. I am in awe of you gals and all your talents. Yes, I’m sort of jealous but I’m an old lady… I should have gotten started sooner. But I’m grateful for being able to enjoy everyone’s work here.

Wow Deb! Great design and a fabulous red! Love that pendant and your little charm. Really like the mix of different textures and shapes. Like Laud, I had to look a couple of times!
Asia, Its really tedious, but sometimes you can get it out by soaking a rag in paint thinner and softening up the resin a little at a time so you can scrape it out.

Thanks Gail for the tip :D

Okay so if I get my act together and open a shop…what should I call it. I had a name I had added to my facebook page but I no longer think it’s appropriate. You have a good name, so does Asia, so does Susie, so does Martha… I’m going to get all my pieces together figure out what I don’t want at all…which is quite a few, what needs reworkimg, tweaking or major fixing. Re- photo on a consistent background and do it.

You think I have a good name? It’s not what I wanted, as that was already taken!

I think your shop name should reflect your design philosophy…Yours is nicely, something that would imply that?

First thing that popped into my head was “MacGyvered Jewels” or something to that effect. :) But then, I always see the fun side of everything. I will try to think serious.

LOL Becky..I cant appropriate that name..besides I’m afraid it would make people think they were temporarily rigged with duct tape, chewing gum & a paperclips.

    LOL, Becky !!

    Asia says:

Deb, just think about what you like and what your style is, then put them together, I know you will come up with something good, picking the name is one thing, setting your policies takes time, I’m still changing or adding.

    LOL Becky!

Asia is right. The name is easy….the rest takes time and effort. Think it through and don’t be in a hurry. I’m going to be re-working yet again in the future, and it’s going to be totally different…maybe.

Let us know of your progress!

This is gorgeous Deb! I too am not usually into reds but this I would totally love to wear. Plus the addition of your wire wrapped pendant is the icing on the cake!

    Asia says:

Deb, don’t feel nervous, just take your time, I was in a rush to open before my vacation was over and I put something in the policies that costed me a sale, let us know how things are going and if you have questions we are here to help as much as we can :D
