CzechMate Fun

About this design:

I drug out my neglected memory wire the other day to try to make something other than the normal multi wraps and thought what about a single wrap but with the two hole beads, my favorite as you know ;)
So I came up with this simple design. One has a clasp, but the memory wire really does not need one so the second is without and stays on just fine.

I gave the kitty bracelet to our good friend who adopted two of the many stray kittens at this park. I have included pics of the kits we adopted and our two pups.

Gold and silver memory wire, 2-hole Czech glass beads, Toho and Czech glass seed beads, gold cat charm.

Angela, these bracelets are great. I’ve never worked with memory wire but these cute little bangles just might make me jump into the mem wire pool. All of your furry friends are beautiful and look very happy to have you for their human!

Love the bracelets Angela. Do you think those 2-hole czech flowers would work in.something like this? Maybe as an accent…not the entire bracelet.

I also love all the happy furbaby photos. The kitties in the window are especially cute.

LOVE these! And I want all you kitties! :) (I wish!-Hubby is not a fan of cats. :( ) The dogs aren’t bad either but my Zeus would have a heart attack if I brought more dogs home. :) It’s so cute how the greyhound wedges him? her?self into that chair! and the other one looks like a cuddle ball! I just want to hug them all!!!!

You did the Tila beads proud, this is gorgeous Angela. Simple but yet elegant. Those colors are gorgeous! Love all your furry little(or should I say big also) friends. They are adorable!

Thank you all for your great comments! I’m glad you like these. I ordered some memory wire end covers to use on the next ones because it’s hard to bend the wire back on the end without breaking these glass beads. BTW don’t even try that with the Miyuki tilas. They are WAY too delicate. I broke many and finally gave up on those. These CzechMates are much more stout.

I did not even know they make 2-hole Czech flowers! How did that get past me? ;)
I looked them up here on LB and I think those would look adorable with this. Thanks Deb, awesome idea!

Our adorable fur babies are all being introduced slowly and it’s been going great. Now Pipin (greyhound) gives them all a sniff and then goes to lay down as if this is nothing new. Benny wants to lay in the middle of them playing even though they won’t leave him alone, patting at his tail and legs. They can’t help it he’s just SO FLUFFY!
Becky since you mentioned Pipin wedging herself in the chair, I could not resist showing you a picture of a chair wedge fail. It’s too cute.

LOL at chair wedge fail. Your welcome on the flower tip. I have some pink ones. Used them on one of those Goddess bracelets I made…at the end only.
On facebook I follow several Italian Greyhounds that are puppy mill rescues. They crack me up with the way they sleep…odd postions, stacked, wedged.

Memory wire “ends” work great – - like you, I think memory wire is tricky to bend. BTW, thanks again for the spiral leaf instructions – - just finished a necklace today with a spiral leaf clasp and plan to post photos of it. (Even though it’s not nearly as creative as what you design !)

Love the wedge fail! :-D . Friends of ours have a retired greyhound, Waldo, and he looks just as awkward trying to “sit” which they can’t do.

Very cool! I love them both! Is it hard to do? Never worked with memory wire before.

The kitty picture is darling as are all the fur babies. The chair wedge fail is just priceless!

Deb, Those little flowers popped in my head too. They’d be awesome in something like this.

Thank you Deb,CB, Becky and Kats!

CB, I just saw your necklace and it is so pretty. I love your clasp, you did an awesome job! I’m so happy the tut worked out for you!

I’m glad you all got a kick out of Pipin’s cute wedge fail. Although she thought it was a total success! She fell asleep immediately after attaining this position. And yes Becky, they do not “sit”, most of them anyway, because their hind quarters are not proportioned properly for their bottom to rest on the ground. Just one of the MANY quirks about greyhounds.
