Climbing a ladder to the stars

About this design:

I really love long ladder style necklaces and I love the mix of oxidized sterling silver mixed with gold. For this necklace I oxidized sterling silver chain and wire. I then wire wrapped three graduated sections of pyrite silver and gold plated beads in a ladder formation to the chain. On the ends of the chain I wire wrapped more pyrite silver beads. I made this long to just slip over the head. I like how the faceted beads give it a bit of sparkle without going all out bling.

8mm faceted pyrite silver beads, 6mm faceted gold plated pyrite coins and oxidized sterling silver chain and components.

This is pretty, but I think it would be even prettier with more “laddering”. I love the beads you chose. They make the piece dressy and unusual without be too over the top.

Thanks Gail. On this one because of the beads I didn’t want too many stations. I like a little tiny bit of bling so I’d rather do less than more. If you’ll notice from most of my designs I don’t like too many ideas at once in one piece of jewelry. I’m kind of a minimalist in some ways.
