Over Clear Blue Water

About this design:

I have wanted to do something with the anchor for awhile now. Decided to do two strands of two different colors of peanut beads that I attached to the anchor, that was the easy part. The other half, well it took me longer.

Sodalite, anchor, fish, antique silver lentil bead, recycled glass, Irish waxed linen, from Lima. Indonesian glass rondelle, clear lampwork bead, outwest lampwork beads, antique silver shell and spacers, peanut seed beads.

Love these earrings too! And the anchor, shells, color and….everything. The shredded string that shows in the necklace is inspired. Reminds me of seaweed, if there was such a thing as blue seaweed, it really adds something to the theme and is a fantastic touch to the earrings as well.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments. I was going to just use one color with the peanut beads. I decided that the one looked like the rope on the end of the anchor, and it was being thrown over into the water with the blue.

Everything about this just sings of the sea, Wanda ! The anchor is fabulous with the peanut seeds and that touch of “seaweed” thread is totally perfect. Great design !

Thank you Paula, Deb and miss e!!

I really had no idea what I was doing with the other half after I got the peanut beads on. The addition of the blue seaweed(haha) was the last thing I added. Guess this time the waxed linen was talking to me ;)

This is really a great design Wanda. I love your idea of the anchor on the seed bead ropes going overboard into the sea! Truly inspired! The earrings go great with it. They’re too cute with their little fish and “blue seaweed”. Good one Gail!

Thank you Asia and Angela! I was hoping the rope effect worked, and the blue seaweed ;)
