Milk Glass Hoops

About this design:

The oblong white beads inspired me to make a hoop earring with a multi dangled pattern. I like that native but modern look. Arlene's Earrings are also on FB.

Gold tone wire 20 gauge and 24 gauge, glass oblong beads, white acrylic seed beads, and gold glass seed beads.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1:
I started with the 20 gauge wire. I used a round cylinder for the hoop shape and size. (3 inches) Then I started on one end of the wire first. I made a eye loop, then added 14 gold glass seed beads.
Step 2:
After the glass gold seed beads, take the 24 gauge wire and wrap it around the 20 gauge wire tightly four times. Add your first bead to the 24 gauge wire and hold it securely agianst the other wire, then wrap the wire four more times around the 20 gauge wire. Repeat for the second bead.
Step 3:
After adding two beads to the 20 gauge wire, it is time to start making the loops for the dangles.. After wrapping the wire four time after the second bead, you want to make a small loop to hang. I use needle nose pliers. I wrap the 24 gauge wire around the pliers nose, then wrap it around the 20 gauge wire four times. keep repeating this until you get the desired hoops you want, so you can add the oblong beads to it. Then you add two more beads in the wire wrap on the other side of the hoop loop. Then make a eye loop at the end.
Step 4:
I added rings at the bottom to the hoop wraps I made. You can see it if you look at the earrings closely. Then I added rings to close the hoop, and a peircing hook at the top. Any questions just ask.. I know my pictures are not the best showing all the detailed work, and I want to apologize for that.
