Many more colored leaves...

About this design:

Here are some more color combos of the gold wire leaf bracelet I listed few days ago. I have many more ideas from you all and myself that I need to try out, but for now my hands are sore so I'll give it a rest for a few days. Please keep the ideas coming, I really appreciate all of your input!

1)Blue capri Swarovski bicones and silver plated wire 2)Turquoise howlite, peach glass rondelles and antiqued copper wire 3)Sapphire 6/0 seed beads and antique silver colored wire 4)Green Austrailian jasper (sorry Becky, I don't have malachite this was the closest I had) and silver plated wire 5)Green faceted quartz and Vintaj Parawire

Oooooooh! The green quartz just jumped off the page at me! The turquoise one is awesome too and I’m not even a fan of peach! The other two are also wonderful, it just seems that your wire work stands out more with the darker wire but that could just be lighting too.

Thank you all! I really appreciate your input. :)

Shadowcat, I used 20 gauge wire which I work hardened with a rawhide mallet to give it more strength.

Thank you all! LOL Nancy Mc, I wish I had some IcyHot! Although it’s already better so I’ll be back at it as soon as I get my LB order because I’m almost out of all my 20g wire! :)

Glad to hear from you Deb, we’ve missed you. The peach and turquoise one is my favorite too. ;)

Hey Angela… I’ve been busy trying to organize my house …again. Plus when I’m on the internet I’m generally on Facebook…not socializing. I’ve gotten involved in Pit Bull advocacy and just helping homeless dogs & cats. I spend a lot of time scouring anti-pit bull pages for screen shots of lies, threats, violence and full-blown hysterical stupidity. It’s very sad actually. I.wish I had the money to open a shelter. I know you are an animal lover also so I’m sure you know what I mean.

Your work is fantastic! Each link is perfect. I understand the sore hands. Do you find that if you do not wrap all of the time, you have to work your skill level back up?

    SquirrelGirl aka Angela says:

Thank you Jess and Esmithdesigns! And yes, I do need to do my wire working often or I get out of practice. Although I’ve made so many of these “leaves” along with clasps and ear wires, that those I have down pat, no matter when I revisit them.

Deb, what you are doing is so wonderful. Every bit we can do to help our cat and dog friends is wonderful, if only more people would do the same.
