Radiant Orchid…Here I Come!

About this design:

So, are you excited about the new Pantone Color of the Year ??
I put together this little collage to tickle your creativity and get you thinking. Not sure how I feel about it, but very interested in seeing how jewelry and clothes designers incorporate this color.

cool idea, I kinda like how this color seems to soften things. But not in the kitchen (appliances). I can’t wait to see what they pair this up with.

I did a pick showing both the purples I could find (LB doesn’t have anything like these that you used) paired with the blue that I read will be popular for spring 2014. Its a gorgeous shade of blue. I forget the name I’ll look it up in my picks.

Anyway, the wizards in fashion – whether for the home or on us – have access to all the colors known to man so they’ll come up with something interesting I’m sure.

I have to say that I’m not thrilled about purple coffee makers or lamps but then I’m not thrilled about a lot of things I see like chartreuse paint that was popular a while back. I love purples but I think unless they are used correctly, we can get tired of them real quick.

I like certain shades of orchid or lavender paired with a light green. Its very pretty and easy on the eyes. I have a necklace I made that I’ve thought of redoing I’ll have to post it in the design gallery.

Dazzling Blue is the color I read about for spring. I personally like this color a lot for womens and mens fashions.

Love it except the kitchen appliances. I do not want to think about cooking, just making jewelry.

Love the color, but NOT in the kitchen! :-)

I looked through my stash for anything this color and only found a small bag of 4mm dyed jade. Sooo obviously this is not a color I’m drawn to. But now it’s a challenge to see how I can use those little buggers! ;)

Love the color on the orchids. This color used to be the color on my bedroom walls. I’m glad that they got repainted. :P :)

This is great but I am definitely not ready for this color. I prefer the blues that Pantone is promoting as well as the cayenne.

Oooh…I am so ready for this color! Purples/orchids are my favorite. I have pearls (peacock) that shimmer with this and some amethyst that are rosier than bluish. At last, I can design for myself and still be designing for the business.
