Florida Icicles

About this design:

We had a day dip down into the 30s... so I wore these Florida Icicles!
I did some simple wire spirals to add a touch of detail but allow the stones to take center stage. I added a string of tiny nuggets to more-or-less frame the chalcedony stick. Impossible to find a matching pair for earrings, but I like that these are similar but different. The spirals on the bracelet mimic the necklace. The large nuggets are on stretchy cord so I didn't need to interrupt the flow of stones with a toggle. I thought the bracelet needed a companion of tiny nuggets like the necklace.

Chalcedony sticks from LB. Chalcedony nuggets from a very generous friend!

Reaction from Chi-beria: Icicles in FL? Erm…no, except in your wonderful pieces. When it hits 30 here, we’re in tee shirts.

I am possibly starting a new job the 2nd week in February.
Nancy I started on your bracelet right before Christmas. And then 1 day I was outside and I heard this horrible crashing clattering commotion. I ran bsck in the house to find one of my lamps on the floor, and 3 design trays with beads laid out, 2 shallow trays with assorted beads and an box full of beads all over.the left corner of my living room. CATS!!!! I thought I never would get everything picked up. Still trying to get things sorted. I still find an occasional bead under the couch.
Anyway I have to do a.bunch of online training and get some stuff organized because the job requires minimal travel. Lifestyle change for me and animals.
