Bollywood Hearts

About this design:

This piece started with my Polymer Clay Heart I posted here the other day. I decided to go bright and colorful to match the array of shattered glass-like colors from the foil, and ending up making two more Polymer Hearts and a Heart Shaped hook for the clasp. The Two extra clay Hearts are made using Turquoise Clay and were embossed with a texture stamp from Lisa Pavelka's line after dipping the stamp in Aztec Gold PearlEX. I forged three large JumpRings/circle connectors using 12 Gauge Copper Wire, and the Heart hook using 18 Gauge Vintaj Artisan Copper Parawire and the large Oval JumpRings using 20 Gauge of the same. The chain is Antiqued Copper from Hobby Lobby. I wrapped the ends of the Pink/Purple Sari Silk with 24 Gauge Vintaj Artisan Copper Parawire and twisted it a little before attaching it, for added texture. There is also a tiny Vintaj Natural Brass Heart Lock Charm next to the tiny Polymer heart.

Overall, this piece reminded me of the brightly colored silks and swirling belly dancer skirts of Bollywood films, hence the name. =^__^=
