What DO we call these?

About this design:

I've been having lots of fun with the archeological-looking glass & ceramic beads.... they really have my creative juices flowing! I've made more bracelets, earrings, & am midway through a necklace....

I decided to try my hand at a hair-decoration w/dangly strands (saw something like this on someone's Pintrest pin).

What do you call them?

Bobby pin, copper ring, accuflex, crimps, African turquoise, ceramic beads, glass bicones, 11/0 seed beads.

Well this is definitely hair bling! Really like this idea,so pretty. I was wondering if the weight of the beads pull the pin out of hair?

Don’t know what they’re called, but I’d LOVE to wear them if I were a teeny tiny bit younger.
I get what your saying about the look. They have a bit of the treasure chest, found on an island look. Lots of fun with beachwear or any summer clothes.

Very sassy! I’d call them hair bling or maybe mermaid baubles. Whatever they are called they look fun and fabulous. I’d bet they would swing and sway as you moved.

    Eeka Mouse says:

They aren’t heavy at all. The African turquoise rounds are only 4 mm. I tried them out in my slick, fine hair and they stayed nicely, even when I shook my head.

Love the term “hairlooms”! Would that apply, though, if I made some that were not so ancient-looking…. maybe w/ crystals….
