The Moon is a Two-Faced Lover

About this design:

I've been working on a simple bangle idea for a while and I love how this one came together! I'm still playing with the sari silk ribbon as the gypsy in me wants some of it on here. I may also add a dangle but I'm so pleased with the bangle itself I had to share it! All from guess where? LB, of course! (I'll post my final decisions one I make them, too.)

Assorted blue green Czech glass in a variety of sizes, Amazonite, blue green quartz, blue haze agate, jasper roundelle, Antique Soocho Jade, recycled glass, Toho beads, antique brass bead caps, gunmetal bronze Artistic wire, 22 ga, blue sari silk ribbon

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  Step 1:
Really simple! Cut a 10" length of wire, slightly longer if your wrist is larger.
  Step 2:
Shape the wire to a gentle curve. On one end, about 1/2 inch in, make a wire wrapped loop.
  Step 3:
Choose beads and string them on. Select a variety of sizes and types and use some spacer beads and bead caps for more interest. Rearrange until you are pleased with the design.
Step 4:
Leave 3/4 inch bare on the open end. Test to be sure bangle will slide on over your hand. If it does not, you can remove the last bead or two or choose not to close the bangle on itself. When you have filled the wire:
1) to make the bangle, make another wrapped loop that encloses the loop from the other end (photo), or
2) if you prefer, use another closure such as a toggle or clasp.
  Step 5:
Finally add whatever you want! Sari silk ribbon, a dangle, this baby is yours so have fun with your bangle!

Thanks for posting the tutorial. The colors in this one are just lovely. And that title! I’m sure there’s a story behind that one.

I love this bangle with all its variety of beads. I am not a fan of silk on jewelry. I don’t know why. I’ve seen a few pieces I’ve liked, however. But over all this is a bracelet that really appeals to me and is very well done.

I couldn’t decide about how I wanted the silk ribbon on this so I took it off. Granny Nancy, what do you think now? This lovely is now in my Etsy shop, Charmed4Life! Photo shows how it likes playing with one of the fabric wrapped bangles.
