Uh-h-h; maybe we don’t read the same books …. ? I assume Petra is from a book; who is – she? Or maybe it’s your pet? Or from a poem?
Okay, I’m through guessing; just tell me – LOL.
It is a lovely set. I love the mop nuggets.

I love the blue shades. The heart pendant is awesome. I know a lady on Artfire who makes those and they are all sold of course. Here is a new design from her that I like.

    Janet B says:

I really like this. What an innovative closure. I too doubt they are Peruvian Opals as they lack the translucency. Still beautiful though.

SYD: Petra Carpreau is the ceramic artist who owns the Etsy shop Scorched Earth on Etsy. She made the heart. I can see where you thought I was reading gory books. :) Like the Corpse Bride or something? :)

Thanks, ladies, for all the very nice comments!!

Janet–these stones are an enigma. They are very light weight so not dense. They could be a chalky version of feldspar. They are definitely dyed. I got them from a shop online that is in China so who knows. Whatever they are, they are a fun mix of colors.

Love the colors, and your wire work is SO neat, as usual — to me it lifts the piece to a new dimension! Missed the closure at first — LOVE (and hope it stays closed :-) ). Just the kind of solution I like!

Isn’t buying stones from China a riot? I do it all the time, then cross my fingers. As long as I’m not paying big bucks,I’m fine with it. The deals are just too tempting sometimes. At any rate, they’re very pretty. Earrings are da bomb!

I saw the pics of those stones on Etsy but the name was also attached to impression jasper and real blue opals. It is a name loosely used. These aren’t opals. Thanks for the tip, though.! You gave me the names of new shops to peruse. :)

Saw it on Etsy first, love what you have done , those new clasps of yours are fantastic and how can I not like Petra’s heart, who cares if the beads are fake, they are beautiful :D

  30. puppychick labratbecky
    puppychick labratbecky says:

Thanks, Asia! I broke my own rule about being a bead snob but I just liked the way they looked. :) The clasps were designed out of desperation as usual. :) If you can’t find what you want, make something up, that’s my motto. :) I have another of those hearts and I think I will keep it for myself. :)

  31. Batticat
    Batticat says:

This is my kind of necklace. The beads don’t have that dyed look, so they are the look I like, but I also like natural untreated when possible. Your wire work is beautiful. I’m still an amateur, but I keep trying. : )
