4 Feet and Hurt Fingers

About this design:

A friend took me to a Local Bead store, where I got some 16g copper wire. I keep it with me at work, and when I have phone conferences I make links. (it keeps me from dozing off, ok? LOL)

This is a collection of links, along with some LB sodalite rounds. I also made the jump rings (need to get better at the flush cutting I see).

16g wire can be kind of hard on the fingers! But no tools were hurt in the making of this piece. I figure I used at least 4 feet of wire in this necklace.

My first thought was you are one busy girl with those curlies and I love them. My next thought you answered 16 guage. Is copper a little more bendable than other metals? Any how, very nice, and soak those hands they must be sore :)

What a marvelous way to keep from dozing off. LOVE it!

Next time around you need to try some 14ga to build up your finger muscles. Then it is on to the 12ga. Yahoo! Ain’t wire fun? (They let me out for an hour or so every other Wednesday.) :D

Lovely wirework and I can’t imagine bending 16 gauge wire into these links with only your fingers!

Great work! I really like this! I sympathize with your hurt fingers. I get mine sore every day that I’m off work. No gain without pain, right?

Gorgeous! My fingers are sore, too, but I think that’s because the 26 gauge copper wire cut a big slice into my finger in the middle of the necklace I made yesterday. (Not that it stopped me from finishing it-I just won’t be making anything today, probably) Although the 16 gauge wire I made links with afterwards for a different project probably didn’t help matters any.

This turned out beautifully- I love the look of Sodalite with the copper, and your links are sheer perfection! Keep it up! =^__^=

I’ve heard about doodling while you’re on the phone, but I always thought you did it with pen and paper – LOL! Now I get jealous you can do that at work! :-) So cool!
