Down by the Sea

About this design:

Charm bracelet inspired by the sand and the sea. I love the copper color of the bracelet and bezels that the charms are set into. The blue and sand colored Crystal Clay just reminds me of the sea and the sand and the sky.

Copper chain, cup chain and 3 needle woven chain make up the 'chain' part of the bracelet. 15mm copper bezels are set with a mix of blue and sand Crystal Clay the mottled mix mimics the movement of sea on sand and sky. I snipped of the loops on the charms and pressed them into the clay. I added chantons to some. The one charm with pressed glass flowers and leaves have crystals all around in in the centers of each flower.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1:
Cut all your chain to the length you want your bracelet to be. I used fold over findings to bind all three together and a copper lobster clasp.
Step 2:
Mix your Crystal Clay according to package directions. It does not take much to fill each of the bezels. Set your charms into the clay - push them in until the clay comes up around them a little. Add in any crystals you want. Let dry - about 12 hours.
Step 3:
I coated each charm with Vintaj Sealer and let dry - about 1 hr. Attach to your bracelet using copper jump rings. I went around all three chains with the jump rings.
Step 4:
Wear and enjoy your own taste of the sea!

I absolutely love your bracelet with the charms in the clay. Did you bake the clay with the charms? Or did you make the impressions and then take them out and bake the clay and then glue them in when clay was ready? I am in love with copper also. The blue and copper are just great together!!
