Shimmer Chick's Display (in progress)

About this design:

I have only done a few shows now, but here is a look at what I have come up with so far. Would love some feedback.

Just bought a chalkboard and easel tonight that I am going to give a rustic finish and add as my sign.

thanks ladies. as you can tell all of my displays are handmade with odds an ends found at the craft store or around the house. really trying to give my display a rustic earthy look.

Shimmer Chick, your display looks very nice – not too crowded, and room for people to browse. Do you also have a mirror handy for those who might want to try something on first? It’s also good that you have neutral colors for your coverings – really shows off your pieces! :D

Shimmer Chick, I agree with the other ladies’ comments — very nice display with eye appeal; not too crowded, yet plenty of items to draw one’s attention; neutral colors; gorgeous jewelry!!! I agree with Sue about hand mirrors being important.

Looking forward to seeing your sign when it’s finished. :D

Do you have a small dish/basket/tray set out with some of your business cards for the taking?

Shimmer Chick – I really like the openness of your display. It’s so easy for people to see your beautiful jewelry. I also like the eclectic feel and use of odds and ends. you can see from mine that I use a lot of them myself. I have found that a bust or two will showcase key pieces. And like Lynn said – a basket or candy dish for business cards and a mirror. Mine were from the dollar store.

    Lots of luck!

Great display! I can’t add anything more than what’s already suggested as far as the display. But I would suggest adding your name/logo to your cards. It’s just one more way to ‘brand’ your business.

How do you keep your jewelry from blowing away? The last time I did an outdoor show I spent much of my time picking up earrings. Oh, wait, that’s in Kansas….!

Thanks! I do have a silver hand mirror available… it is on the table. just not visible in the pictures.
Yeah the earring cards knocked over a bit at my first show, but I have seemed to master the placement at the last one and the wind didn’t effect them. I was toying with the idea of not having earring cards, but I really like how that earrings pop on them.
I just got my Moo cards in the mail for the last show. They aren’t in these pics. A candy dish is a great idea. Right now I just have them displayed in the box they come in.
Thank you all for your help and advice. I am going to work on the easel & sign today. I will try to get some pics up soon.

Very nice display. Did you make your earring cards out of card stock. I usually buy finished ones but really like yours.
