Earring Repurposed

About this design:

Week 11 in Heather Powers' Jewelry Mojo Challenge was to make a piece of jewelry for a celebrity or pop culture character... I chose Temperance Brennan from Bones.

The pendant used to be one of a pair of earrings that were in heavy rotation for me in middle school. I couldn't find a photo of me wearing them but the last pic is a drawing a friend did of me wearing them. LOL.

You can read more about the challenge and see the other piece I created over on my blog:

Repurposed earring pendant, turquoise heishi, TierraCast silver plated beads and clasp, carved cinnabar, bamboo coral flowers, Nunn Design silver plated chain and jumprings.

You have definitely made a necklace Bones would wear. She always has such striking pieces that look like art/relics. Good job!

Saw this on your blog I think…so cool what you can do with a throw back to the Eighties piece of jewelry. Retro made cool again!
