I'm going to recycle all those bricks...

About this design:

Our home is flowing over with Lego bricks: my boy and his friends love them. So I thought, why not make them necklaces of Lego... My son and two of his best friends happen to have their birthdays quite close too, and we arranged his birthday party together with one of them (that's why there are 18 candles: 9 each!). I made the cake to look like a Lego brick too...

I drilled holes in Lego bricks, each got his favorite color. The metal rings are of soldered sterling silver (to strenghten, and avoid sharp corners). Various leather cords and lace, and some small large-hole stone beads from LB.

I LOVE LEGOS!!! These are cute. I actually have necklace I bought. It makes a heart. But it is two rectangular flat plates.which each have a curved side. Snap one on top of the other and voila heart.

Very special necklaces to go with a special cake.

I’ve been thinking about doing something similar with dominoes. Let’s all raid the toy box!!! :D

    Thanks all!!
Deb, my son actually immediately thought that he could use the brick as a “starting block”, attaching minifigures and other stuff onto it for a change! Not that he has worn it much yet… he is not much into jewelry… but I think he would feel left out if I make things for everyone else I know!
I’ve seen Lego necklaces and earrings before too, but they were larger bricks — better to use flat ones for wild boys…could be varied endlessly!
BTW, the ring through the brick is not fused, of course, but all the other silver parts are.
