Beware the Brass

About this design:

Using lots of colorful seed beads for these fun flirty earrings, but oh why, did I pick brass wire?? It's so stiff and hard to work with, but I do love the color.
These earrings took me way too long to make and I had some redoing due to my inability to count those tiny things correctly. Grrr...

They’re all fabulous! I especially like the last ones with the clear teardrops. What gauge brass wire did you use?

Very effective! ‘Specially like the ones with the turquoise & purple drop – what seed beads did you use in those two?, they sit well on the curved wire & the colour mix is lovely

Love them all, but the first pair is my fave, I agree about a brass wire, I did try to anneal 20 gauge ones, it did make it more manageable and it also give it a slight patina that I liked :D

Oh, my gosh, how FUN are these! They’re darling tropical. I especially LOVE the chartruese and amethyst ones; and, oh, the seed beads on the turquoise howlite ones are divine. Judging from all the questions you’ve gotten, which I second by the way, you’re going to have to give us instructions.

Thanks, everyone! I’ll try to answer the questions.
The brass wire is 24 gauge. Thin, I know, but still stiff to work with although not as bad as annealed steel. Someone just informed me that if you have a torch, brass can be annealed like copper or sterling. Gotta try that sometime.

Seed beads. I know the ones Franny liked are very small, but I don’t know seed bead sizing and I dump them out of the tubes and into my own storage containers, so I don’t even have the labels. Sorry.

If you’re are interested, I’ll put together a little tute on making these. So many variations.

You are generous to offer a tut. I’d love to give it a try. I think these will be a hit at the craft fair. I could see ppl buying more than 1 pair. at least I would , one for myself and probably 1 for my spoiled sister. I really like your style :)

These are so FABULOUS that I’m not even gonna abbreviate the word. I’m with Peggy in saying that I’d buy more than one pair,if I saw them at a fair. How could you possibly choose?
I must say I favor the ones with the Amethyst just because, but the clear stones that look like quartz great too. Are they relly glass? they look real.
((Hides idea in head to steal..and runs away laffin like a mental case)) ;)

These are so clever and simple! I’ve had some small rock quartz for a few years that I could never decide what to do with. Now I see they would work perfectly in the center of your earring designs. And I also love Toho seed beads. Thanks for sharing your fun designs.
