Mermaid's cove

About this design:

This is my entry for Art Bead Scene monthly challenge, based on "Little Mermaid " by Edmund Dulac. I'm a huge fan of Canadian polymer clay artist Claire Maunsell, so I used her tutorial to make a hollow strata bead as a focal of the design.

My own polymer clay beads, ring and clasp, Happy Fallout beads, African and Indonesian recycled glass are from my stash, the raw Amethyst nugget, waxed linen and brass stamping are from LB.

The colors and textures in the clay beads are wonderful – it’s like gazing into the ocean and seeing rocks and coral. I love the patina on the brass stamping. Good luck on the competition.

Ditto all the above. Beautiful bracelet, unique and interesting. I honestly believe if there was an under-the-ocean Tiffany’s where mermaids shopped, this bracelet would be there. Good luck!

This looks so much like droplets of water, pieces of coral, uncut jewels raided from sunken treasure….
The focal is so unusual…it.is like I can see into it.
An amazing interpretation of the painting..Good Luck Asia.
