Remembering Calie

About this design:

My first necklace using wrapping with wire. My Pomeranian died this year at 15. She was a sweet dog that I miss every day.
The bracelets I added. One bracelet is a simple bracelet but the colors are nice. The second bracelet is made with memory wire and a two-holed bead called a Honeycomb from Czech. Want to say I am having trouble with messages here on LB. Sorry Kye.

Necklace- all from Lima. I used Vintaj Artisan copper wire, Lipstick winged dog pendant, and various Czech beads. Bracelet 1 has a Xax Raku bead, copper chain, and glass beads from my stash. Bracelet 2 - Remembrance memory wire, Czech beads from LB and the Czech 2-holed Honeycomb beads from my stash.

Oh Donna, I’m so sorry to hear about your precious Callie. It’s sooo hard to lose a fur baby that’s been part of the family for so long. Your necklace is a beautiful tribute to her. The focal is perfect. The bracelets are beautiful too. Great for the Autumn months. Those honeycomb beads look enticing!

I adore your necklace and bracelets. I love the colours and the focal is stunning combined with the blue and copper colours. A stunning tribute for Callie. As for your bracelets, they are lovely. I would wear these in an instant.

Donna, I am so sorry to hear about Calie! I know it is very hard to lose a fur baby. What a great tribute to her that you can keep her close to your grieving heart. I like the bracelets. I have a bunch of the honeycomb beads to make into a bracelet also. They looked fun to play with.

So sorry for the loss of Calie. What’s wonderful is how our furkids live on in our hearts, forever at their healthy, happy best. Your pieces are gorgeous! I have loved the LR Angel dog pieces since I saw them, and you’ve used great materials and colors with it to make a stand-out piece. Love both bracelets. The first looks as if it goes with the necklace really well. The memory wire one with the honeycomb beads is very interesting – I may try to make something similar. That’ll be a stretch, I’ve never used memory wire! A fave!

You’ve made such a beautiful tribute to Calie. The necklace is so special. I love the dog angel pendant. You’ve done such a great job wire wrapping all those gorgeous beads. The total effect is lovely and touching.
The bracelets are great too. They would both be a blast to wear. Wonderful work Donna :)
(P.S. I’ll check my messages. No reason to be sorry. Whenever I send a message it always says it failed but they seem to go anyway. It’s very confusing.)

    Love the bracelets too. :)

I am sorry to hear about Callie.

Thank you everyone for kind comments. My Callie will remain in my heart forever. I am hoping that God will have her spirit for me at the rainbow bridge.
Thanks for the comments about my wire wrapping. I am sure that my next project will be better and go faster. I really like the look.
I also am going to try chainmalle. I know that will be much harder. I so admire Kye’s work!

Donna … I’m truly sorry for the loss of your very beloved Callie, but this piece is an utterly gorgeous way to hold her in your memory. Just beautiful.
The bracelets are lovely too. I just saw those Honeycomb beads on another site … here’s hoping LB gets some soon, so we can all indulge in them.

Beautiful necklace for you to remember Callie by. Losing furkids is more gut-wrenching than non-pet owners can understand. Give yourself a hug from me. I have lost quite a few myself and know exactly how you feel.

Donna, your necklace is beautiful. I really like the colors you chose and the effect of the dangles in the design. The coins with the flying bird are a perfect touch, and I like how you added the special drop from the heart in the focal. Brings tears to my eyes as we have lost two of our dear girls within the last few years. Our last little girl is now 13 yrs old, sleeps most all day, and is starting to have a hard time walking. We know the time is drawing near, and try to enjoy each day that remains. May our dear ones forever remain alive in our hearts and minds.
