Singing Birds In The Morning

About this design:

WE are so lucky to have so many birds that sing and cheer us up every morning. They have nests close that we often watch to see the new hatchlings. I am also exploring using resin and Nunn bezels. I enjoy making a pendant that feels like a creation.

Components:

The chain I used came from Etsy. Tibetan Agate, Birch w/Speckles porcelain beads, silk ribbon, and Nunn bezel from LB. The other beads used are from my stash. I did include a picture of a bracelet and earrings to match. The other necklace was my first attempt at resin. The bezel and all the beads came from LB.

These are also breathtaking pieces! I love the chain from Etsy. It really makes the necklace look complete. It is also so different, which I like adding the unexpected to some pieces.

You know I am a fan of multi-strands. These all work together but each adds something. That is what makes a great design.

Oh, I love your new resin/bezel pieces! Those bird focals are fantastic! That must have been hard to get the photos in those tiny charms. I also enjoy the pleasant song of birds in the morning and am blessed to not have to be jolted awake by a loud alarm clock. I really like the bird coins & link you used in the second necklace–perfect with the focal. Nice work Donna; can’t wait to see some more! :)

Wow! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I love everything about this. The pendants you created, the way you attached the pendant to the necklace, the 3 layers – Wow. Did I already say I love this?

    The bracelet is also beautiful.

The last photo is also a wonderful necklace design.

I’d wear any one of these. Welcome back Donna.

Donna, your sense of color and texture is exquisite! I absolutely love every single piece! May I offer one tiny suggestion I have learned myself by trial and error? The first necklace has the heavier, longer agates at the top row. The placement is perfect but in order to get larger beads like that to lie flat they might need a bit more “give” next time. Maybe adding a seed bead between each in addition to what you have and at each end would be just enough to get them to “relax”. It could be just how they are hanging in the picture but I thought I’d give you a tiny hint. I have been out of practice for a few months now as I work a new full time job (UGH) so my advice might not be the best anyway…. :) Carry on! I LOVE your vision!
